I recently had the opportunity to stay at Thalazur Royan - Hotel & Spa in Royan for a business trip. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The hotel's location near the beach was a major highlight for me. Being able to enjoy a stroll along the coastline after a long day of meetings was truly rejuvenating. The hotel offers a spa, which was perfect for unwinding and relaxing. The range of treatments and facilities provided a tranquil oasis amidst my busy schedule.
There was one minor issue that I encountered during my stay.

The location was great- overlooks the oceon, but no busy road to spoil the view, as there is at almost all hotels in Royan. Our room also had a balcony, and we got a good deal. Spa pool is not part of the hotel, but is attatched and can be used by guests- fabby
Not really a complaint but at the pool- be warned that you are expected to wear a daft hat, flip-flops, and proper cosie(no shorts for men). Restaurant has two sittings, 19h and 20h30, which is a bit naff, but food very good.

Just spent 3 lovely nights at Thalazur Royan - Hotel & Spa. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious with a stunning view from the balcony. The spa facilities were fabulous and the indoor therapy pool was a bonus. The beach, just a few minutes away, was popular and the hotel had excellent views across the bay. The underground parking was worth the extra fee, making unloading the car easy. a great stay!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

This hotel is perfectly located, right on the seafront with amazing views from the rooms and within walking distance to the nearby beach and town. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with lovely balconies. The staff were helpful and check-in was efficient. the hotel has an indoor pool and spa facilities for relaxation.
The staff at the spa were not very accommodating to families with children, making it slightly uncomfortable.

Easy to park on the street. Very good coffee. Not busy. Sun beds available. One excellent receptionist. Courteous restaurant staff. Quality food. Generous alcohol servings. Good water aerobics instructor and friendly spa staff. Nice terrace plenty of tables. Good views.
Room for three adults paid - facilities for only 2. Request for adequate tea tray facilities in room was ignored. Paper cups and one tea bag of a type is not provision for 3. One smirking receptionist. Unidentified wet patch on floor. Breakfast stupidly expensive. Set menus that were available were not offered to us. No cafes nearby 20 min walk to shops. Web deal only one euro cheaper than list price. Small towels and again for 2. Raised pool allowing only 4 beds on same level. Drinks not allowed at pool side. Bar not always manned in the afternoon. Wifi worked only 3 days out of 7. Paid for 3 adults when child under 16 should have been free. Would have minded less if extra bed was not a pull down.

A nice gentle 25 minute walk into the lively centre of Royan. Ideally situated for anyone who is looking for some peace and quiet. By and large the staff were very polite and obliging
The hotel is situated in a quiet part of the resort so if you have mobility problems you may wish to reconsider this as a suitable location from wich to to to the main part of Royan.

I loved the location of this hotel, nestled on a beautiful hillside overlooking the bay. The views were absolutely breathtaking. The service here was top-notch, with friendly staff who were always willing to help. The room I stayed in was well-equipped with all the amenities I needed, such as ironing facilities and tea and coffee facilities. The mini-bar was also a nice touch. I especially enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and taking in the stunning views. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.
I would highly recommend this hotel to families looking for a relaxing getaway.

Excellent location for our purposes. Very clean, comfortable and well-proportioned room with good 'black-out' curtains, firm bed, double desk, sofa. Also, 24-hour front desk.
Night front desk staff could be more efficient. Didn't receive wake-up call that was requested one morning.

Value for money was excellent, with comfortable and spacious rooms and beautiful sea views. The location was superb, with coastal walks and a nearby beach, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The morning meal could be improved with fresher bread and a greater variety of cheese options.

Excellent ocean view over a small bay and with balcony - sadly weather was bad (in July!), Left balcony door ajar and listened to the crashing waves (and the rain!). Comfortable bed. Outdoor pool looked fine - but due to weather was closed for the 5 days we stayed. Use of Thalasso Tea/coffee facilities in rooms. Restaurant (formule) meals fairly good value.
Approx 200euros per night - breakfast was an additional extra at 16.5Euro per person! We went (drove - 5mins max) to local cafes for breakfast - much better value. WiFi did not work for first 4 days of our stay - staff everyday said it would be fixed this afternoon, tomorrow, etc...., Thalasso - set times for hotel guests - therefore busy (due to weather?)

The hotel had amazing facilities with a stunning sea view from the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful in providing information about transportation and parking. The location was perfect as the beach was just a few steps away and the city was easily accessible on foot.
Can't think of anything.
